Established in 1977, the Blackwater Herald is the only local paid newspaper dedicated to the residents of Blackwater, Bluff and surrounds. Known as the “coal capital of Queensland”,
Blackwater was purpose-built to support coal mining operations nearby, and also rewards residents and visitors with some impressive scenery, notably the spectacular Blackdown Tableland National Park. The Blackwater Herald provides comprehensive
